Information We Use

ChargeFind may use your device location to show nearby EV charging stations, calculate distance, and improve the relevance of map results. Location access is optional. If you do not allow location permission, you can still explore the app using the default map area or by searching for a city or place.

The app may also process search queries, selected map areas, station details, connector filters, favorites, recently viewed stations, and basic app preferences.

Local Storage

ChargeFind stores favorites, recently viewed stations, reviewed station IDs, theme preferences, and basic settings on your device. This information is used only to improve your app experience and is not sold.

Station Data and Third-Party Services

ChargeFind uses OpenChargeMap to load EV charging station information, including station locations, connector details, pricing notes, photos, and public comments where available.

The map may load tiles and attribution from OpenStreetMap and CARTO. When you search for a place or use location features, your device or platform location services may process location or geocoding requests.

Reviews and Comments

If reviews are enabled and you submit a review or comment, the information you provide, such as display name, rating, and comment text, may be sent to OpenChargeMap and may become publicly visible. Do not include sensitive personal information in reviews or comments.

What We Do Not Collect

ChargeFind does not collect payment card details, booking details, charging account passwords, or vehicle account login information. The app is a station finder and does not process charging payments or reservations.

Permissions

Location permission is used only to find nearby charging stations and calculate relevant results. You can deny or revoke location permission at any time from your device settings.

Data Control

You can remove favorites, clear app data, revoke location permission, or uninstall the app at any time. Clearing app data may remove locally stored favorites, recent stations, review history markers, and preferences.

Children’s Privacy

ChargeFind is not intended to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a review or comment, please contact us so the issue can be reviewed.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
